Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited in Barnsley is seeking an experienced Welder to join a skilled manufacturing team. You will fabricate and MIG weld mild steel components, reading drawings and production notes to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication and welding.
• MIG welding experience with consistent high-quality welds.
• Experience using jigs, fixtures and tooling in manufacturing.
• Ability to produce high-quality welds and fabricated components.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality requirements.
• Reliable, positive and team-focused approach.
• TIG welding experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating and MIG welding mild steel components to specifications.
• Work from drawings, specifications and production requirements.
• Use jigs and fixtures to manufacture high-quality repetitive components.
• Operate automated welding and plasma equipment training provided.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
• Work effectively as part of a busy production team.
• Follow health, safety and quality procedures.
