Job summary

H&H Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Welder in Sheffield for a Monday to Friday day shift. The role involves repair and fabrication welding of steel castings, reading drawings, and adhering to welding procedures and quality standards.

Welders will perform MMA, TIG and MAG welding, with duties including preparation, inspection and safety compliance, and collaboration with the quality team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MMA or TIG welding.
• Experience with MAG welding.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Experience working to approved welding specifications.
• Good understanding of welding safety and fabrication practices.

Responsibilities

• Repair and fabrication welding of steel castings to approved procedures.
• Welding using MMA, TIG and MAG processes.
• Read from weld maps, drawings and welding procedures.
• Prepare components for welding (grinding, gouging, joint prep).
• Carry out visual inspections and identify weld defects.
• Work to customer specs and quality standards.
• Maintain welding equipment and workspace safety.
• Collaborate with supervisors, inspectors and quality team to meet production requirements.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and wear PPE.
