Driver Hire Stevenage & Hatfield are recruiting a Welder Fabricator to join a busy production team. The role involves MIG welding, fabrication of sheet metal parts, and reading technical drawings. You will operate workshop machinery and work to high quality and safety standards in a collaborative environment.

Experience in a similar manufacturing setting and ability to read drawings are preferred. A positive, hands-on approach and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Salary: £16.50 per hour

Driver Hire Stevenage & Hatfield are recruiting! Due to our clients continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their friendly and busy production team.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding and fabrication of sheet metal components.


• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.


• Fabricating and assembling products to required specifications.


• Safely operating workshop machinery and equipment, including:

  • Pillar drills
  
  
  • Combi-drills
  
  
  
  


• Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.


• Supporting the wider production team as required.


• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a similar manufacturing environment.


• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.


• Experience operating grinders, pillar drills, and combi-drills safely.


• Positive attitude with a hands-on and flexible approach.


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.


• Current welding coding/certifications (preferred but not essential).
