Job summary

Gi Group UK is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator for an in-person, temp-perm role. You will weld and fabricate storage and handling equipment from engineering drawings, using MIG welding on mild steel components.

The position runs Monday to Thursday 07:00–16:30 and Friday 07:00–12:00, with overtime opportunities available. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality products, work to production schedules, and maintain a clean, safe workshop environment while following health and

• Experience as Welder Fabricator in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Strong MIG welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working with mild steel and structural metalwork.
• Competent using fabrication tools and workshop machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, proactive approach with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Welder Fabricator

Hours: Monday to Thursday - 07:00 - 16:30, Friday 07:00 - 12:00

We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of bespoke storage and handling equipment, as well as structural steel components.

Working from engineering drawings, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality products while ensuring projects are completed safely and on schedule.

• TIG welding experience.
• Overhead crane experience.
• CSCS Card (advantageous but not essential).
