Job summary

Advanced Engineering in Hertfordshire is seeking two Fabricators/Welders to join our growing team, performing TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminium components.

You will read engineering drawings, fabricate sheet metal structures, and finish to a high standard while working Monday to Friday with an 8am-4:30pm schedule and on-site Hertfordshire duties. Competitive hourly rates and Friday finishing flexibility offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
• Skilled in TIG and MIG welding.
• Able to read engineering drawings and interpret technical information.
• Experience fabricating with stainless steel and aluminium.
• Able to dress and fettling to a high standard.

Are you a Welder / Fabricator looking to join a growing manufacturing business in Hertfordshire?

My client is looking for x2 Fabricators/Welders to join their business due to growth.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm (Flexible hours to finish early on Friday's)

Hourly Rates £18 - £20.50 per hour - can be discussed over the phone to clarify

Job Role

• Carrying out TIG and MIG welding on a variety of metal components, mainly stainless steel and aluminium
• Working with a range of material grades, primarily thinner materials up to 6mm thick
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, sketches, and technical information to prepare jobs correctly and carry out dimensional checks before welding
• Fabricating and assembling sheet metal and metal structures to specification
• Dressing and fettling your own work to achieve a high-quality finish

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication
• Skilled in TIG and MIG welding
• Confident reading and working from engineering and technical drawings
• Experience fabricating and working with sheet metal products
• Able to dress and fettle your own work to a high standard
• Experience working with stainless steel and aluminium is essential
