Driver Hire Stevenage & Hatfield are recruiting a Welder Fabricator to join their busy production team in Welwyn Garden City.

The ideal candidate has proven MIG welding and sheet metal fabrication experience and can read engineering drawings.

You will operate grinders, pillar drills and combi-drills, maintain quality standards, and work well as part of a team in a full-time role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong MIG welding skills.
• Sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
• Experience operating grinders, pillar drills, and combi-drills safely.
• Positive attitude with a hands-on and flexible approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Welder Fabricator

Salary: £16.50 per hour

Driver Hire Stevenage & Hatfield are recruiting! Due to our clients continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join their friendly and busy production team.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding and fabrication of sheet metal components.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Fabricating and assembling products to required specifications.
• Safely operating workshop machinery and equipment, including:
  • Grinders
  • Pillar drills
  • Combi-drills
• Maintaining high standards of quality and health & safety.
• Supporting the wider production team as required.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong MIG welding skills.
• Sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
• Experience operating grinders, pillar drills, and combi-drills safely.
• Positive attitude with a hands‑on and flexible approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable

• Current welding coding/certifications (preferred but not essential).
