Qualifications

Welder £17.00 per hour | Highbridge | Full-time

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Welder for a well‑established engineering and manufacturing business in Highbridge. This full‑time, permanent position offers £17 per hour. Working within a skilled workshop team, the successful candidate will fabricate and weld components for industrial equipment.

Duties include carrying out MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and other materials, working from engineering drawings and technical specifications, and measuring, cutting, preparing and fitting materials prior to welding. Completed work must meet required quality standards. This varied, hands‑on role suits someone with proven welding experience who can work accurately within a busy manufacturing setting.

• Carrying out MIG and/or TIG welding on mild steel and other materials
• Fabricating and welding components for industrial equipment
• Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Measuring, cutting, preparing and fitting materials prior to welding
• Ensuring completed welds meet the required quality standards
• Inspecting finished work and identifying any defects or areas requiring adjustment
• Using a range of workshop tools and fabrication equipment
• Working alongside other members of the engineering team to meet production requirements
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
• Following all relevant health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Welder or Welder/Fabricator
• Good experience with MIG and/or TIG welding
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• Previous fabrication experience
