Job summary

An engineering firm in Woodbridge is seeking a Welder fabricator for a permanent role. The ideal candidate is a competent MIG welder with the ability to work on mild and stainless steel. The role offers a salary of approximately £15ph and involves various duties such as operating fabrication machinery and reading CAD drawings. Opportunities for further training and overtime are available. This position is subject to a successful 3-month probation period.

Job description

We are looking for a Welder fabricator for a permanent position for an engineering firm based in Woodbridge, Suffolk.

We are offering a salary circa £15ph+ with the opportunities for further training & overtime.

This role is for a company who have been going from strength to strength since they started trading. They are now in a position where they have so many orders on the books, they need another welder to meet the current order book.

Must be a competent MIG welder who is able to work on mild & stainless steel. Anyone with TIG experience would be beneficial but this is not essential for the role.

Primary Duties

• MIG welding stainless & mild steel from 2mm - 15mm
• Operating various manual fabrication machinery
• Reading & working from engineering CAD drawings
• Fabricating various forms of metal / woodwork - basic DIY / carpentry
• Follow company health & safety policies as and when required

This is a multi-skilled role so you will not be solely working as a welder. It will also involve various forms of fabrications such as upholstery, carpentry, basic electrics etc.

07:30-16:30, Monday - Friday.

This is a permanent role subject to a successful 3-month probation period.
