Caterpillar is seeking a Weekend Welder (Part Time) at its Stockton facility to support a 24‑month fixed‑term assignment. Part-time weekend hours offer a calmer pace and great work‑life balance, with pay rates of £18.98 per hour.

Key duties include MIG and MMA welding of heavy fixtures, blueprints reading, and adhering to safety and quality standards. NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding is required; availability across Days, Backs and Night rotations is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent time-served apprenticeship.
• Proven industrial experience in MIG and MMA welding.
• Strong blueprint reading skills and ability to weld to tight tolerances.
• Full availability to work across Days, Backs and Night shift rotations.

Responsibilities

• Build and weld heavy-duty fixtures and assemblies to tight tolerances.
• Weld using MIG and MMA processes to high engineering standards.
• Follow standard work procedures with a focus on safety.
• Collaborate with production teams and take ownership of tasks.
• Perform standard manual handling and lifting per safety guidelines.
• Conduct detailed quality checks to ensure fault-free output.
