Job summary

Single Homeless Project is recruiting a Weekend Support Assistant for our Islington team in London. This full‑time, permanent role offers a salary from £29,822.41 to £32,034.46 per annum pro rata.

The role focuses on weekend support in supported accommodation, helping residents build independence and access services while maintaining safety and strong records. You will join a dedicated team committed to equality, diversity and empowering people facing homelessness, with training and development

Qualifications

• Build positive, respectful relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Encourage and motivate people to gain confidence and independence.
• Remain calm and adapt to changing situations.
• Be organized, reliable, and capable of prioritising work.
• Understand homelessness, mental health, trauma, substance use and barriers to move forward.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, person-centred support to residents at weekends.
• Help residents with money management, accommodation, appointments and services.
• Assist with daily living skills and staying engaged with activities and goals.
• Help keep the service safe and well‑coordinated over weekends, with clear handovers.
• Participate in training, supervision and ongoing development.
