Look Ahead Care, Support and Housing Ltd is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our homelessness service in Brent. The role involves key-work responsibilities, safeguarding, and tailored support plans for vulnerable individuals with complex needs, within a 40-hour weekly pattern including weekends.

No prior experience required, just the right values. Salary is £30,784 per annum with enhanced leave and benefits. This post is based at Pound Lane, serving a 24-hour complex needs environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent.
• Able to work across a 7-day pattern including weekends.
• Legally eligible to work in the UK by start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/Manager.
• Oversee the daily running of the service ensuring health and safety responsibilities are met.
• Raise safeguarding alerts and complete incident reports within specified timeframe.
• Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support.
• Create support/action plans reflecting available services and resources.
• Support customers with domestic tasks and to develop living skills.
• Assist customers to move on from the service through the move-on pathway with Brent Housing team.
