Job summary

Dalston, Carlisle - part time cook/chef role at Sodexo requires delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced workplace catering environment.

You will prepare, cook and serve a range of meals, maintain food safety standards, assist colleagues, and engage customers with friendly service. Prior catering experience and relevant qualification preferred; excellent organisational skills and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or chef in a busy catering environment.
• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds 706/2 or equivalent.
• Ability to prepare and cook meals independently.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen requirements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve a range of fresh, tasty and well-presented meals.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and complete required documentation.
• Support and guide other catering staff working alongside you.
• Monitor food quality and portion control.
