Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Weekend Cook for Carlisle City Centre. You will lead weekend kitchen operations, preparing meals for about 20 residents and staff in a manageable, independent role. The position offers 12 hours weekly with shifts from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays, at £13.01 per hour.

Training in food safety is provided if needed. Ideal candidates are experienced cooks or chefs who enjoy home-style food and working independently, with a flexible start time around the service

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook or Chef or in a catering environment preferred.
• A passion for preparing good food and serving residents.
• Ability to work independently and manage the kitchen.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safe practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen during weekend shifts.
• Prepare and serve meals for approximately 20 guests.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised and efficient.
• Support meal service times on Saturdays and Sundays.
