Sodexo Ltd in Accrington is seeking a Weekend Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents and staff in an Approved Premises. You will work Saturdays and Sundays 8:00am–2:00pm, taking ownership of all aspects of food preparation in a lone-working environment.

This independent role emphasizes food safety, independence, and a friendly professional approach, with a focus on maintaining high standards and supporting the service that helps individuals transition back into the community.

Qualifications

• Professional cooking experience required.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals following planned menus.
• Take full responsibility for day-to-day kitchen operations and workload.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Monitor stock and replenish ingredients, equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Build positive on-site relationships and communicate effectively.
• Follow health, safety and food hygiene procedures in lone-working environment.
