Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Cook for a regular weekend position with set hours every Saturday and Sunday, keeping your weekdays free. You will own the kitchen, work independently and prepare meals that residents and staff can enjoy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional cooking or catering role is essential.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
• Must be aged 18 or over and able to provide valid photographic identification.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time and prioritise tasks.
• Reliable, self-motivated and confident working alone.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff.
• Take responsibility for the kitchen and ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Check stock levels and order or replenish ingredients and supplies when required.
• Work closely with colleagues and communicate clearly to ensure the service runs smoothly.

What you'll do:
