Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a Weekend Cook for the National Probation Service Approved Premises in Eccles. In a lone-working role, you’ll prepare nutritious meals for residents and staff, owning all food preparation during weekend shifts and ensuring food safety in a residential setting.

You’ll bring experience as a cook or chef in catering or hospitality, plus relevant qualifications (city & guilds or NVQ desirable). The role offers weekend hours and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or chef within catering, hospitality, or food service
• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (desirable)
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards; IOSH desirable
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve high‑quality meals on weekends
• Deliver excellent food service while maintaining high standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and EHO regulations at all times
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation to best practice standards
