Job summary

Capitol Students is hiring a part-time Service & Safety Assistant for Clifton & Stewart House in Glasgow. The role involves 16 hours per week across weekend shifts, including Saturday and Sunday coverage. You will perform security checks, CCTV monitoring, and resident support in a lone-work environment between shifts.

Reporting to the Scheme Manager, you will complete logs, handle emergencies, and respond to resident requests while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles within accommodation, hospitality or retail.
• Security-based role with administrative skills preferred.
• Strong written and spoken communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out communal area, fire safety, stairwell, gym, laundry, and reception checks.
• Monitor CCTV and sign-in, report noise or unusual activity.
• Complete shift logs, manage handover notes, and respond to resident requests within SLAs.
