Job summary

MTL Advanced, a leading engineering and manufacturing company in Rotherham, is seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator for weekend shifts. You will operate CNC machines, set up materials, monitor processes, and ensure parts meet precise specifications with a strong emphasis on quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Set up and load materials onto the machine.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust as necessary.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot issues during production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Pursue further technical progression.

VACANCY: CNC Setter Operator (weekends)

LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

PAY: £19.57 per hour dependant on experience

SHIFT: Friday – Sunday – 3 x 12 hour days 6am – 6pm.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
• Set up and load materials onto the machine
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during production
• Maintain a clean and organise the work area
• Further technical progression

ABOUT YOU:

• Demonstrated experience as a CNC Setter / Operator / Machinist / Programmer
• Experience with precision measurement instruments
• Ability to seamlessly interpret technical drawings
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong math skills for measurements and calculations
• Able to demonstrate excellent manufacturing practices
