Job summary

MTL Advanced in Rotherham is recruiting a Level 2 Weld Inspector to join our expanding manufacturing facility near Meadowhall. You will monitor fabricator QA/QC activities, review WPS, PQR and WPQ, and provide independent welding and fabrication support to ensure high-quality output.

Ideal candidates hold PCN Welding Inspector Level 2 or equivalent, with site/field experience and strong communication. Proficiency in MS Office and a team-oriented approach are essential for daily inspection and

• PCN Welding Inspector Level 2 or equivalent is essential.
• PCN Level 2 MPI/DPI is preferred
• Previous experience of Welding Inspection Site/Field and Vendor Inspection Fabrication Quality Plans is essential
• Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal is essential
• Computer literate is essential
• Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office is essential

VACANCY: Level 2 Weld Inspector

SHIFT : Friday – Sunday 6am – 6pm.

PAY: £23.50 per hour.

LOCATION

Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Monitor fabricators Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities
• Review approved Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS
• Review Procedure Qualification Records (PQR)
• Review Welders Performance Qualifications records (WPQ)
• Provide Independent Welding and Fabrication support and advice
• Review of Fabrication Inspection and Test Plans and final fabrication pack
• Visual inspections of weld set up/weld quality, completion of dimensional inspections as required
• Review and endorse NDT reports in a timely manner
• Prescribe and monitor weld repairs to code
• Verify the application of NDT methods for inspection activities
• Maintain a contemporaneous record of daily activities

ABOUT YOU:

• PCN Welding Inspector Level 2 or equivalent is essential.
• PCN Level 2 MPI/DPI is preferred
• Previous experience of Welding Inspection Site/Field and Vendor Inspection Fabrication Quality Plans is essential
• Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal is essential
