Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a weekend Chef to support senior chefs in daily food preparation and to manage your station for timely dish delivery. You will uphold safety, hygiene and correct equipment usage, while ensuring high-quality food and service throughout each shift.

The ideal candidate will have proven chef experience in contract catering, a Level 2 in Catering & Hospitality (or equivalent), and strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef in contract catering is desired.
• Level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or equivalent is required.
• Excellent cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes knowledge; multitask under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day food preparation in absence of senior chef.
• Manage cooking at your station to deliver dishes on time.
• Ensure safety, hygiene and correct use of utensils and equipment on site.
• Notify Senior Chefs when inventory runs low to keep stock levels adequate.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain high-quality food and service throughout the shift.
