Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Weekend Cook in Stockport for a dedicated weekend role. You will work every Saturday and Sunday, 8:00am–2:00pm, delivering nutritious meals for residents and staff within an Approved Premises.

Role offers consistent weekend hours and independent kitchen management, with a focus on food quality, safety, and timeliness. A strong passion for cooking and providing good meals is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional cooking or catering role is essential.
• Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures.
• Ability to work independently, manage time and prioritize tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff.
• Take responsibility for the kitchen and ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Check stock levels and order or replenish ingredients and supplies as required.
• Work closely with colleagues and communicate clearly to ensure the service runs smoothly.
• Work confidently and safely when working independently.
