Hawk Hiring in Faringdon seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join an independent workshop. £36,000–£40,000 basic salary with Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:30, and zero weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will perform servicing, repairs, and diagnostics, using modern diagnostic tools, and maintain accurate records in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair with fault-finding experience.
• F-Gas certification preferred or interest in obtaining it.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, routine maintenance and safety inspections across various vehicle makes and models.
• Execute mechanical repairs, component replacements, and major work on suspension, steering, and braking systems.
• Apply diagnostic tools to identify, isolate, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Maintain precise job records and keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety guidelines.
