Job summary

Tennial Personnel are seeking an Assistant Manager / Cook for a waterfront café in Levington on a temporary to permanent basis. The role covers food prep, customer service, stock ordering and general operations with 5 days a week, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Ideal candidates will have food hygiene knowledge, good communication and organisational skills, and a services mindset. A full UK driving licence and own transport are essential due to location.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking, café or hospitality preferred.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safe handling.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a range of food and drinks to a high standard.
• Ensure food is prepared and stored safely per hygiene regs.
• Greet customers and provide excellent service.
• Take orders and handle payments where required.
• Assist with stock ordering and shop floor duties.
• Open/close the café as needed.
• Support supervision in absence of senior staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of areas.
• Monitor stock levels and shortages.
