Job summary

CHG Electrical is seeking a proactive Mechanical Design Engineer to design and deliver MEICA-focused solutions for water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will develop practical mechanical designs for pumps, pipework, valves and tanks, integrating with civil, electrical and ICA systems to support successful MEICA delivery.

Join a growing, multidisciplinary team in Sheffield with hybrid working (1-2 days home-based).

Qualifications

• Mechanical design experience in water/wastewater or infrastructure projects.
• Experience producing layouts, pipework, equipment specifications and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical designs, drawings and calculations for pumps, pipework, valves and tanks.
• Develop P&IDs, GA layouts and equipment schedules for project mobilisation.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical and MEICA teams to ensure buildability and integration.
• Provide on-site technical support during construction and handover.
