Arup is a global consultancy offering multidisciplinary design and engineering services. This Industrial Placement role focuses on delivering mechanical elements of water and wastewater projects, collaborating with electrical and automation teams.

You will gain hands-on experience on real projects with a mentor, supporting sustainable infrastructure outcomes. You will explore opportunities in renewables, hydrogen and energy storage while developing technical skills in pump sizing, hydraulic

Qualifications

Currently studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver mechanical elements of water and wastewater treatment and pumping projects.
Support frameworks and projects for clients such as Welsh Water, Wessex Water, United Utilities and Severn Trent.
Work alongside Electrical and ICA engineers to deliver integrated MEICA solutions.
Provide design leadership, technical assurance, equipment specification and coordination.
Assist with expansion into energy-related MEICA work including renewables, hydrogen, hydropower and decarbonisation.
