Job summary

Arcadis is offering a paid internship/12‑month placement in Mechanical Engineering within the Water team in the UK. You will design and improve critical water infrastructure, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, low‑carbon solutions.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience on real projects, with signposted training and exposure to clients, while developing technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject.
• You will demonstrate Arcadian skills including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking and being a team player.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required; virtual working supported where possible.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and improving water infrastructure projects across the UK.
• Work on water treatment facilities, pumping stations and wastewater plants.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technical and digital engineering initiatives.
