Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead end-to-end CAPEX projects across its sites and estate from Lane End. You will scope, tender, procure, manage safety, commissioning and handover to operations teams, driving value and efficiency.

In this role you will collaborate with operations teams and contractors, ensure CDM compliance, forecast costs and report on project progress, balancing risk and cost with quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical) preferred.
• BTEC or HND in a relevant discipline encouraged.
• Experience with Clean Water Processing and/or Wastewater treatment.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with initiative and minimal supervision.
• Understanding of CDM and construction safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical and ICA projects valued between £100k and £1m.
• Lead multiple live projects and scope/tender future projects.
• Develop innovative solutions to improve site efficiency and value for customers.
• Collaborate with operations teams and contractors to scope, define and cost solutions.
• Oversee health and safety for projects and conduct monthly audits.
• Ensure schemes meet standards and are delivered on time.
• Forecast finances and report value of work (VOWD).
• Prepare RAMS, CPP and CPP related documentation.
• Oversee commissioning, training and handover to operations teams.
• Ensure completion documents including test certificates, manuals, safety files, drawings handed over.
