Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Design Manager for the Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works project in Rickmansworth. You will lead design delivery across project stages, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant, buildable and sustainable solutions while working in a Tier 1 contractor environment.

You will manage design assurance, interfaces and stakeholder relations, supporting construction and handover with technical guidance and design information.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams within contractor-led construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the water industry and water/wastewater capital delivery.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution and a Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process across all project stages with multidisciplinary teams, delivering to milestones.
• Oversee design assurance, governance and verification, and maintain comprehensive records.
• Coordinate with clients, designers, suppliers and stakeholders, communicating progress and managing design risks and changes.
• Support construction, commissioning and handover with technical guidance and design information.
• Promote Safe by Design principles and fulfil Designer duties under CDM 2015.
