Kier Group plc. is seeking a Design Manager to join the Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works team based in Rickmansworth.

You will lead design delivery on a major water infrastructure project for Thames Water, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant, buildable and sustainable solutions from concept to handover. You will oversee design assurance, governance and stakeholder coordination, providing leadership in risk management and design information for construction,

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on contractor-led construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven water/wastewater capital delivery knowledge.
• Strong track record in design delivery, programmes, interfaces and stakeholder management.

Description du poste

We're looking for a Design Manager to join our Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works team based in Rickmansworth., This is an exciting opportunity to lead design delivery on a major sewage treatment works project for Thames Water. As Design Manager, you'll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, oversee the design process from concept through to handover, and ensure solutions are safe, compliant, buildable and sustainable. You'll work within a collaborative Tier 1 contractor environment, providing leadership in design assurance, risk management and stakeholder coordination to deliver this important infrastructure project.

What will you be responsible for?

• Leading the design process across all project stages, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery to agreed milestones
• Managing design assurance, governance and verification, implementing reviews and maintaining comprehensive records
• Coordinating with clients, designers, suppliers and stakeholders, communicating progress and managing design risks and changes
• Supporting construction, commissioning and handover with technical guidance and design information
• Promoting Safe by Design principles and fulfilling Designer duties under CDM 2015

• You have demonstrable experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and consultants within contractor-led construction or infrastructure projects
• You bring proven experience in the water industry, with understanding of water and wastewater capital delivery
• You have strong background in managing design delivery, assurance, programmes, interfaces and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• You hold a degree, HND or equivalent qualification in civil, electrical, mechanical or process engineering, or demonstrable equivalent experience
• You have membership of a relevant professional institution and hold a Full driving licence
