Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Design Manager to join the Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works team based in Rickmansworth.

You will lead design delivery on a major water infrastructure project for Thames Water, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant, buildable and sustainable solutions from concept to handover. You will oversee design assurance, governance and stakeholder coordination, providing leadership in risk management and design information for construction,

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on contractor-led construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven water/wastewater capital delivery knowledge.
• Strong track record in design delivery, programmes, interfaces and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design across all project stages coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage design assurance, governance, verification and records.
• Coordinate with clients, designers, suppliers and stakeholders; progress reporting and risk management.
• Support construction, commissioning and handover with design information.
• Promote Safe by Design and fulfil Designer duties under CDM 2015.
