Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture delivering integrated design and build services in the UK water sector. The Design Lead will oversee multi-disciplinary design delivery, guiding teams of engineers and designers to produce cost-effective, compliant solutions for water and wastewater projects.

You will drive affordable, low-carbon design options, manage cost and programme, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring quality project controls and governance across UK sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• Chartered or incorporated member of a recognised engineering institution (ICE/IMechE) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in water or wastewater infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of Designer/Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multi-disciplinary design for projects/programmes.
• Develop and lead teams of electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers.
• Develop affordable, low-carbon solutions and manage opportunities/risks.
• Deliver detailed designs meeting construction needs and client acceptance, managing cost and schedule.
