Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Design Lead to drive multi-disciplinary design delivery across water projects in the UK. You will lead teams of electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers, developing affordable, low-carbon solutions while managing opportunities and risks.

Responsible for detailed designs that meet construction needs and client acceptance, with emphasis on cost and programme control.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering.
Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE).
Experience in Water or Wastewater infrastructure design.
Knowledge of Designer/Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

Leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary design for projects/programmes.
Developing and leading teams of electrical, mechanical, civil, and process designers.
Leading the development of affordable and low-carbon solutions and managing opportunities/risks.
Delivering detailed designs to meet construction needs and client acceptance, including cost and programme management.
Challenging engineering solutions to ensure best-value outcomes for clients.
Providing direction and oversight of project controls and ensuring compliance with quality, programme and cost requirements.
Maintaining positive client relationships at project level.
