Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Design Lead to contribute to projects that significantly impact our environment and communities. Working primarily in the UK water market, you’ll provide feasibility, detailed design, construction and commissioning services to keep water flowing and wastewater treated.

Lead a multi-disciplinary team of electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers; develop affordable and low-carbon solutions; manage opportunities, risks, cost and programme; and maintain

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution or equivalent experience.
• Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects.
• Strong technical knowledge in own discipline with appreciation of others.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary design for projects/programme.
• Developing and leading a team of electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers.
• Leading development of affordable, low carbon solutions, including managing opportunities and risks.
• Delivering detailed designs to meet construction needs and client acceptance, including cost and programme management.
• Challenging engineering solutions and delivery effectiveness to ensure best value.
• Providing direction and oversight of project controls and compliance with quality, programme and cost.
• Maintaining positive client relationships at project level.
