Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture delivering integrated design and build services across water projects in the UK, including strong relationships with Yorkshire Water. This Design Lead role focuses on leading multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver efficient, cost-conscious solutions for water and wastewater schemes.

You will manage a team of designers across electrical, mechanical, civil and process disciplines, driving robust design delivery, value engineering, and client

Qualifications

• Engineering degree
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience
• Water/wastewater project design experience and knowledge of Designer/Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
• Strong technical knowledge in own discipline with appreciation of other disciplines

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multi-disciplinary design for projects/programmes.
• Develop and lead a team of electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers.
• Lead the development of affordable, low-carbon solutions, including managing opportunities and risks.
• Deliver detailed designs to meet construction needs and client acceptance including managing cost and programme.
• Challenge engineering solutions and delivery effectiveness to ensure best value for client.
• Provide direction and oversight of project controls and ensure compliance with quality, programme and cost requirements.
• Maintain positive client relationships at project level
