Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting a Design Lead to drive multi-disciplinary design for UK water projects, leading teams including electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers.

You will deliver detailed designs that meet construction needs, manage cost and schedule, and develop affordable, low-carbon solutions while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring quality work.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering.
• Experience in Water or Wastewater infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of Designer/Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of multi-disciplinary design for projects/programme.
• Developing and leading a team of electrical, mechanical, civil and process designers.
• Leading development of affordable, low-carbon solutions and managing opportunities and risks.
• Delivering detailed designs to meet construction needs and client acceptance, including cost and programme management.
• Challenging engineering solutions to ensure best-value outcomes for the client.
• Providing direction and oversight of project controls and ensuring quality, programme and cost compliance.
• Maintaining positive client relationships at project level.
