Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an Electrical/ICA Engineer to review LV electrical and ICA documentation, participate in client meetings, and coordinate activities across projects. You will fault-find and configure MCC and ICA equipment, while supporting PLC software and SCADA development.

The role also involves overseeing installation, carrier networks, and performing technical reviews of Risk Assessments and ITPs to ensure compliance with water industry standards. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience in ICA engineering, PLCs, HMIs, Profibus networks and SCADA installations on large-scale water treatment works.
• Good knowledge of LV motor control centres and communications protocols including Profibus, Modbus, and Ethernet IP.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-discipline team.
• Holds a Full driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and providing comments on LV Electrical and ICA documentation to ensure compliance with water industry standards.
• Represent Kier at client meetings and coordinate electrical and ICA activities across projects.
• Conduct fault finding and system configuration for MCC and ICA equipment, including PLCs and control panels.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of communication networks and support System Integrators in PLC software and SCADA development.
• Conduct technical reviews of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, and authorise Inspection and Test Plans for project compliance.
