Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking an Instrument, Control & Automation Technician in Bishops Stortford to install, commission, maintain and repair water production assets. You will work with SCADA systems and PLCs, liaising with contractors and providing technical guidance.

The role requires HNC/NVQ3 in instrumentation, control and automation (or equivalent), and ideally 18th Edition. A UK driving licence and willingness to work shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC level or NVQ level 3 in instrumentation, control and automation (or equivalent).
• Preferably holds 18th Edition (BS7671).
• Experience with Wonderware and ClearSCADA is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair water production assets including level instrumentation and flow meters.
• Work with SCADA systems, PLCs and Process control networks.
• Liaise with and supervise contractors and suppliers; provide technical support and training for apprentices.
