Job summary

Thames Water is recruiting an ICA Technician based at Maple Lodge, Rickmansworth. You will inspect and maintain equipment at sewage pumping stations across Rickmansworth and surrounding areas, diagnosing faults and working on PLCs, SCADA and telemetry systems with minimal supervision.

The role involves planned maintenance, installation and commissioning of plant equipment, and providing specialist technical advice. A valid driving licence and willingness to travel across sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong practical understanding of operational plant and control systems.
• Experience with Wonderware (desirable) and ClearSCADA; relay logic and PLCs (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley).
• Ability to read fault-find from circuit diagrams and calibrate instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance (PPM) including some mandatory tickets and reactive maintenance.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary team with systems, mechanical and electrical technicians.
• Install, modify and commission new plant equipment; diagnose and repair faults in systems and plants.
• Investigate plant failures and implement swift, efficient repairs.
• Provide specialist technical advice with up-to-date knowledge.
