Zusammenfassung

Southern Water is seeking an Instrumentation, Control and Automation Technician to maintain and improve ICA systems across multiple sites in Sussex. You will ensure reliability and efficiency of control systems, with on-call standby and weekend coverage.

Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, PLC/SCADA experience, and a full UK driving licence. The role offers a permanent contract, a base salary in the £38k–£56k range, and benefits including a company van and pension.

Qualifikationen

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or time-served apprenticeship.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems.
• Live within 45 mins of our sites.

Aufgaben

• Planned, reactive & proactive maintenance including fault finding, calibration, testing, investigation and programming on equipment sets including telemetry, analysers, dosing equipment, control networks, MCC/LVA components, PID controllers and instrumentation such as flowmeters and transmitters.
• Implementing process improvements.
• Diagnosing control system faults on PLC control systems such as Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley and package plant PLCs.
• HMI & SCADA system backups and modifications.
• Setup and maintenance of site control networks.
• Undertaking planned maintenance and calibration of instrumentation.
• Responding to faults/ alarms.
• Completing documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
