Job summary

Stantec seeks a Chartered Structural Engineer to lead and grow our Structural Engineering division within our Water offices. The role requires a hands-on leader who will mentor teams, manage budgets and timelines, and travel regularly to meet with the Structural Team across multiple locations.

You will hold a degree in Structural/Civil Engineering and be a Chartered member of IStructE or ICE, with practical experience in water engineering and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Chartered member of a relevant engineering institution (IStructE/ICE).
• Experience with water retaining structures.
• Experience mentoring junior staff.
• Willingness to travel and meet clients across regions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, line management and develop the Structural Team.
• Provide technical expertise in structural design using state-of-the-art techniques.
• Collaborate with teams across locations to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Mentor and supervise team members and review work for quality and accuracy.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders to extend the team’s reach.
