Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Chartered Structural Team Lead to guide its Structural Engineering division for water projects across UK locations. You will provide regional leadership, oversee budgets and timelines, and mentor staff while delivering high-quality design work.

The role requires hands-on design expertise, collaboration with international teams, and willingness to travel to meet colleagues in multiple offices. A Chartered engineer with senior leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Chartered Engineer (IStructE/ICE) with hands-on and up-to-date experience.
Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff and overseeing budgets/timelines.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, line management and develop the Group as a team.
Provide technical expertise in structural design using state-of-the-art techniques.
Drive collaboration with Pune for better coordination.
Ensure delivery of projects on budget, on time and to quality standards.
Influence others through strong technical knowledge and communication.
Plan, forecast and coordinate resources with group managers.
Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of design, drafting and project management standards.
Liaise with clients to engender trust in the Structural Group’s capability.
Provide training and mentoring for team members across the region.
