Job summary

Urban Connect is seeking a Supervisor / Sub Agent to join a leading Tier One contractor on major water sector projects in Manchester and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring proactive leadership, programme delivery and subcontractor coordination.

You will own on-site works, drive the programme, manage subcontractors, and ensure safe, quality delivery in line with RAMS and project specs. Previous civils/infrastructure experience and CSCS/SMSTS are desirable.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Supervisor, Sub Agent or similar on major civils/infrastructure projects.
Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills.
The confidence and initiative to push the programme and challenge where required.
Good understanding of site paperwork, RAMS and construction processes.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
Experience working for a Tier One contractor or on major infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities.
Proactively drive the programme and ensure works remain on schedule.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring productivity and quality.
Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers and the wider delivery team.
Ensure works are carried out in accordance with RAMS, specifications and project requirements.
Complete and maintain relevant site paperwork and records.
Identify issues early and take a proactive approach to resolving them.
Monitor progress, productivity and quality of works.
Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are maintained at all times.
