Job summary

Matchtech is seeking experienced Site Agents to support multiple water and civil engineering projects across Portsmouth on a long-term contract basis. You will oversee site activities, manage teams and coordinate subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

Ideal candidates will have CSCS, SMSTS, NRSWA, Level 3 First Aid and related certifications, with strong leadership and communication skills to manage multiple stakeholders on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience in site management for water or civil engineering projects.
• Valid CSCS card is required.
• SMSTS qualification is required.
• Level 3 First Aid qualification is required.
• Asbestos Awareness certification is preferred.
• NRSWA qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations across water and civil projects in Portsmouth.
• Supervising site teams and coordinating subcontractors to ensure delivery.
• Overseeing drainage, landscaping and concrete works on sites.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Monitoring progress, materials and resources against project requirements.
• Completing site documentation, inspections and reports.
• Communicating effectively with project managers, engineers, clients and site personnel.

Job description

Our client, a leading tier 1 contractor in the water and civil engineering sector, is seeking experienced Site Agent's to support multiple projects across Portsmouth. This long-term contract opportunity involves overseeing site activities and ensuring that water infrastructure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing day-to-day site operations across water infrastructure projects
• Supervising site teams and coordinating subcontractors to ensure effective project delivery
• Overseeing shallow surface drainage, landscaping and concrete plinth works
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Monitoring progress, materials and resources against project requirements
• Completing site documentation, inspections and reports
• Communicating effectively with project managers, engineers, clients and site personnel

Job Requirements:

• Experience working as a Site Agent or in a similar site management role within the water or civil engineering sector
• Valid CSCS card
• SMSTS qualification
• Level 3 First Aid qualification
• Manual Handling certification
• Confined Space - Medium Risk certification
• NRSWA qualification
• Asbestos Awareness certification
• Strong knowledge of site health and safety procedures
• Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills

Contract Details:

• Projects based across Portsmouth
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm
