Job summary

Urban Connect is seeking a Supervisor / Sub Agent to join a leading Tier One contractor on major water sector projects in Manchester and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring proactive leadership, programme delivery and subcontractor coordination.

You will own on-site works, drive the programme, manage subcontractors, and ensure safe, quality delivery in line with RAMS and project specs. Previous civils/infrastructure experience and CSCS/SMSTS are desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Supervisor, Sub Agent or similar on major civils/infrastructure projects.
• Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills.
• The confidence and initiative to push the programme and challenge where required.
• Good understanding of site paperwork, RAMS and construction processes.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently.
• Experience working for a Tier One contractor or on major infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Rate: £300 £340 per day CIS

We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor / Sub Agent to join a leading Tier One contractor delivering major projects across the water sector.

This is a hands-on site-based role for someone who is proactive, commercially aware and capable of driving works forward. You ll be expected to take ownership on site, push the programme, coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

The Role

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities.

About You

We re looking for someone with a strong background in water, utilities, civils or infrastructure, who is comfortable taking responsibility and making things happen on site.

You should have:

• Strong subcontractor management and coordination skills.

Desirable qualifications:

• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
• Lifting / Appointed Person or relevant lifting qualifications
• Relevant CSCS / SMSTS or equivalent site management qualifications.
