Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer in London to lead complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will work across a diverse portfolio, liaising with clients to scope and price proposals and manage project progress.

You’ll deliver feasibility and detailed designs, and provide technical leadership while ensuring standards, risk management and sustainability objectives are met. A hybrid work model supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Experience in the water sector and with design within water infrastructure.
• Chartered or Incorporated with ICE/CIWEM or approaching chartered status.
• Experience in assessments, option appraisals, and engineering calculations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, hydraulic modellers and specialists to deliver projects in the UK and overseas.
• Produce feasibility studies, outline and detailed designs, reports and specs.
• Undertake line management and performance evaluations for junior staff.
• Ensure design compliance with standards and provide interdisciplinary analysis.
