Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join the Water Team, delivering design leadership across the UK. The role covers wastewater and water infrastructure design, with opportunities to work across North and Midlands offices in a flexible hybrid model.

You will lead design delivery, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and support bids and client engagement to drive project success in the Water sector.

Qualifications

• Extensive design experience in managing the technical delivery of large-scale water engineering projects.
• Proven leadership, mentoring and line management experience.
• Strong collaboration and coordination across teams, clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and review process design for wastewater and water infrastructure projects.
• Engage in all design stages from feasibility to construction design, ensuring standards compliance.
• Lead bid preparation and client interfacing for proposed projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of quality designs within budgets and schedules.
