What you’ll be doing as a Water Regulations Inspector
  • Carrying out both reactive and proactive inspections to support regulatory targets.
  • Checking the work of approved plumbers and keeping an eye on standards, skills and customer service.
  • Checking reduced-pressure zone valve installations.
  • Helping with high-risk and high-profile investigations, including more complex cases where water quality contamination has been confirmed.
  • Looking at and helping manage the notifications the business receives about plumbing changes.
Base location: Your base location can be flexible but ideally in South London or the Thames Valley depending on where you live.
Working hours:

38 hours 7:30am to 3:36 pm, Monday to Friday.

What you should bring to the role
  • Valid driving license – you will be driving a company van.
  • You may have ‘hands‑on’ practical experience within the plumbing, construction or vehicle mechanic industry.
  • But we also welcome applications from college or university leavers who are keen to start their career in the water industry.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety regulations and how they are implemented in a work environment will be beneficial.
  • City and Guilds Craft certificate in Plumbing or NVQ equivalent would be advantageous, but not essential.
What’s in it for you?
  • A salary of £30,500 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
  • A company-provided van to support you in the role.
  • Annual leave of 24 days per year, increasing to 28 days with length of service, plus bank holidays.
  • Performance‑related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targets
  • Generous Pension Scheme through AON
  • Access to lots of benefits to help you take care of you and your family’s health and wellbeing, and your finances – from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shopping vouchers and life assurance.
