Job summary

Southern Water is seeking an Operational Reporting Analyst in Durrington, Worthing (Hybrid). The role reports to the Reporting & Analytics Manager within the Water Operational Excellence team, supporting accurate, timely and insight-led reporting across the Water Operations Directorate.

You will prepare and enhance performance metrics, dashboards, and weekly/monthly outputs, enabling effective performance management and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Background working in Water Operations or similar industry.
• Data and analytics knowledge (KPI architecture, Enterprise reporting models).
• Product management knowledge (Agile frameworks, Product lifecycle management, User-centred design).
• Proven experience in Data analytics, Reporting, Business intelligence.
• Operational Excellence.
• Strong IT skills including MS Excel & advanced analytics platforms.
• Self-starter with ability to manage own workload.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Able to engage, influence and connect with others.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow / Green Belt.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and enhance performance metric data, dashboards, and weekly/monthly reporting outputs.
• Provide analytical insight for operational, regulatory and improvement teams.
• Support the Reporting & Analytics Manager in delivering Water Operations dashboards.
• Document data definitions, reporting standards and data quality processes.
• Monitor usage of dashboards and reporting tools to improve adoption and insight.
• Assist with executive-level performance insight to support leadership decisions.
