Job summary

Southern Water in Worthing (hybrid) seeks an Operational Reporting Analyst to join the Reporting & Analytics team. You will support accurate, timely, insight-led reporting to enable operational performance management and strategic decision-making across Water Operations.

The role involves dashboards, performance metrics, and regular outputs across regulatory and improvement teams. You will gather requirements, define data definitions, monitor dashboard usage, and help drive data quality and

Qualifications

• Background in Water Operations or similar industry
• Data and analytics knowledge (KPI architecture, enterprise reporting models)
• Product management knowledge (Agile frameworks, product lifecycle, user-centred design)
• Proven experience in data analytics, reporting and business intelligence
• Operational Excellence
• Strong IT skills including MS Excel and advanced analytics platforms
• Self-starter with ability to manage own workload
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Able to engage, influence and connect with others
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt

Responsibilities

• Assist with producing executive-level performance insight to support reporting for Water Director, ELT and Board.
• Support creation and delivery of Water Business performance reporting for leadership and regulatory needs.
• Conduct detailed data analysis to generate insight supporting Operational Excellence and improvement.
• Undertake analytical investigations into performance drivers and opportunities to improve service and efficiency.
• Support embedding data-driven performance improvement across operations and planning activity.
