Job summary

Thames Water is seeking a Water Operations Analyst to support safe, reliable operation of the clean water network. You will collaborate with Systems Optimisation Engineers and Leakage teams to maintain water quality, manage pressure, and respond to network issues.

The role focuses on data-driven troubleshooting, network optimisation, and incident support, with a view to developing long-term expertise in water operations.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or science is advantageous or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in hydraulic systems, water networks and clean water operations.
• Strong data interpretation and analytical thinking to drive decisions.
• Good communication and confidence working with diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude and long-term interest in the water industry.

Responsibilities

• Investigate pressure issues, customer complaints and network alarms using data.
• Support planned network isolations and optimisation projects.
• Assist during unplanned events to minimise customer disruption.
• Help investigate longer-term network issues like low pressure and resilience.
• Ensure network activities follow operational and risk procedures.
